The town of Elkton is putting out the welcome mat Thanksgiving weekend with our 14th annual Art & Wine Tour.
Enjoy a one-of-a-kind holiday shopping experience featuring handmade gifts, world-class wines and more. Connect with the artisan or winemaker who made your gift while soaking in a little small-town charm.
Read on for a list of featured artists and activities, then download your event passport with each site’s hours and location. (Passports are also available at each site during the tour.)
Your passport doubles as an entry to win a raffle basket with items from local businesses. Enter the raffle by collecting five or more stamps from each local business that you visit.

Art Exhibits on the Tour…
Visit Elkton’s newest home studio, Elk Creek Glass to see the ancient art of blowing and fusing glass. Watch the different ways they layer colorful glass to make cups, coasters, plates, bowls, lampshades, and art pieces. Classes will start this winter, so you can learn glass blowing or fusing to make your own magic!
Metal artist Cliff Scharf has been making “handcrafted jewelry with an updated twist” for nearly five decades. His son Sam Scharf is also a talented multi-media artist and jewelry maker. Together, they are Scharf Family Jewelers and will be at Bradley Vineyards during the event.
Brandborg Winery will have works from well known local multimedia artist, Jennifer Wolfe on display all weekend. Jane Wood is an accomplished painter who captures evocative rural landscapes on canvas and is an experienced plein air artist; you can find her art upstairs at Brandborg Winery, as well.
Lisa Lewis is an emerging, up-and-coming watercolor artist who believes every brushstroke has the power to help tell a story and convey emotion. Her beautiful Watercolor by Lisa stories in a picture are on display at River’s Edge Winery throughout the event.
Haines Creek Vineyard & Tasting Room is hosting a well-known Eugene artist, Candice Watson!
The “Metomorphosis / Growth” art show is hanging in the Joan Arsenault Gallery at the Elkton Community Education Center
Did you know…Arlene’s Cafe is home to a popular mural by Sunbaum & Winans? This weekend is a great time to check out permanent art installations in Elkton, including outdoor works at ECEC by Marie Rasmussen & Timothy Johannes, a stunning stone fountain by Lincoln Russel, a 24′ decorative cast iron grills by internationally-known Jan Zach and metal art by Phil Beck.
Knoll Bistro (formerly Tomaselli’s) has art on display by well known artists Isaac and Lucia Meyer.
Artists, Gifts & More at ECEC…
Start your tour at the Elkton Community Education Center (ECEC) at 15850 Highway 38 to pick up a tour passport.
We’ll have Artists in Action on Saturday and Sunday. Deb Gritton will be sharing a Fiber Arts demonstration and will have some extra tools for you to try out. Visit with professional watercolor artist Lisa Lewis on Sunday as she works on a current project.
The library will be filled with artisans and crafters selling their creations, including Janet Barton, Susan Rodgers, Lisa Lewis, Paula Lewis, Hope Krissie, Sue Ward, Debra Fenzl, Jodie Rudolph, Casey Rollefson, Keith & Roma Henney, Michele Warden, Beverly Libby, Billy Reid, Sam Fitzgibbon, Nelson Frosland, Romhy Holden, Wende Cline, and Erin Monroe.
Cathy Byle & Family will be selling Christmas Trees on the patio by the Gift Shop, and ECEC will have Holiday Swags, too!
While you’re there, you can enjoy a casual lunch, coffee drinks and desserts from the Outpost Cafe, and peruse the new “Metamorphosis / Growth” art exhibit.
Visit our Gift Shop to find beautiful holiday swags, artwork and gifts from our friends and neighbors sold on consignment that are great for kids, gardeners and rock lovers on your list. Specialty items include hats featuring Fort Umpqua, t-shirts celebrating ECEC’s 25th Anniversary and stemless ECEC wine glasses to serve the wine you buy this weekend in style!
Holiday Shopping…
Brandborg Winery, Fri, Sat, Sun 11-4 is hosting a silent auction to benefit Elkton City Park, and a few local artisans including Jen’s Jam’n’Jellies, Sarah Mills, and art by Jennifer Wolfe and Jane Wood
Farm Pickins Mercantile on First Street always offers a beautiful selection of holiday gifts and features artists’ work. Shop vintage and antique gifts, repurposed furniture, and holiday decorations. They will also be hosting Lexème Wines this weekend so you can sip while you shop!
Food & Wine…
Fine-crafted wines are another type of artistry, and Elkton’s wineries produce a fantastic range of styles to suit different tastes and budgets.
This is the perfect year to visit your favorite wineries and welcome new winemakers to the area.
Bradley Vineyards tasting room/winery will be open Fri-Sun, 11-5. Hosting Scharf Family Jewelers.
Brandborg Winery tasting room/winery will be open Fri-Sun, 11-5, with displays of works by artists Jane Woods and Jennifer Wolfe.
Explore Knoll Vineyards‘ wines at the Knoll Bistro (formerly Tomaselli’s) and support the new restaurant owners while you’re there.
Lexème will be pouring samples and selling bottles at Farm Pickins Fri-Sun 11-5, while they prepare to open their new tasting room.
River’s Edge Winery tasting room/winery will be open Fri-Sun, 11-5, and featuring stunningly beautiful works of watercolor by Lisa Lewis, whose work shows her passion and belief in every brushstroke having the power to tell a story and impact us on an emotional level.
Haines Creek Vineyard and Tasting Room (formerly Anindor) is open Fri-Sun from 12-5, and will host the talented artist Candice Watson.
