15th Annual Elkton Art & Wine Weekend

The town of Elkton is putting out the welcome mat Thanksgiving weekend with our 15th annual Art & Wine Tour.

Enjoy a one-of-a-kind holiday shopping experience featuring handmade gifts, world-class wines and more. Connect with the artisan or winemaker who made your gift while soaking in a little small-town charm.

Read on for a list of featured artists and activities, then download your event passport with each site’s hours and location. (Passports are also available at each site during the tour.)

Your passport doubles as an entry to win a raffle basket with items from local businesses. Enter the raffle by collecting five or more stamps from each local business that you visit.

Artists, Gifts & More in the Library, Outpost Cafe, and ECEC Gift Shop & Patio!

Kick off your weekend at the Elkton Community Education Center (ECEC), 15850 Highway 38W – your first stop to pick up a tour passport.

ECEC will be open 10am – 4pm all weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)

From 12–2pm each day, enjoy Art in Action:

  • FridaySam Fitzgibbon spins beautiful yarn on their wheel and demos a fun hat-making tool.

  • Saturday: Professional watercolor artist Lisa Lewis works live on a current piece.

  • Sunday: Volunteer orchardist Gregory Flick shares the story of ECEC’s Heritage Orchard – now embraced as Elkton’s Community Orchard.

Inside the library, you’ll find a full house of artisans and crafters: Michele Warden, Janet Barton, Paula Lewis & Pam Riggs, Sammie Annie Rags, Flavors of the Forest, Lisa Lewis, Home Raised Bakery, Beverly Libby, Jennifer Schmitz, Casey Rollefson & Jessica Hawkinson, Bravewood Beanery, ECEC consignees, and Ivy & Sage Hoagland. Expect art, jewelry, hats, coffee, garlic, sourdough and an abundance of handmade gifts.

Be sure to visit the new art show installation!  “Workshop Art” showcases pieces by the students of Evelyn Pruse and Judi Otto, along with selected works by both instructors.

While you’re here, stop by the Outpost Café for a cozy, casual lunch from our special holiday menu – featuring gourmet grilled cheese – and explore our full drink selection. Hannah Sperandio will be pouring wines from every participating winery, including tasting flights.

Cathy Byle & Family will be selling Christmas trees, and ECEC will have fresh holiday swags ready to take home.

Get your passport stamped and wander through our Gift Shop for even more locally made treasures. You’ll find holiday swags, artwork, kid-friendly gifts, gardener favorites, rocks and minerals, and other handmade items from neighbors near and far. Specialty items include Fort Umpqua-themed hats, all-new T-shirt designs, and stemless ECEC wine glasses – the perfect way to enjoy the wine you pick up this weekend.
