Do you qualify for SNAP benefits or the Oregon Health Plan (Oregon's Medicaid)? Many people qualify, but don't know or aren't sure how to apply. ECEC has a trained assister to help you through the application process. Available Tuesdays 1-3PM during the 1st and 3rd full weeks of each month. Weeks start on Monday and ends on Sunday. Appointment needed.

Through a secure online platform called Unite Us, we are able to send referrals to other healthcare and social services to get folks connected. For example, this could be a referral to a physician or to a local organization that has arts and crafts nights that you want to join. If you'd prefer not to be referred, we can also provide information to explore more. No appointment necessary, drop-in Wednesdays 12-3pm* or 2nd Saturdays of each month 10-1pm

Discover how your body works and take a more informed and positive role in your health and aging experience. This FREE six-part series offers a whole body approach, spotlighting common health concerns among older adults, while describing a variety of helpful and accessible, healing food and lifestyle choices. Attend only one or all six lectures. Lectures will be held every Tuesday from July 16th to August 20th. In-Person Group will have snacks and beverages and will meet in the new Wellness Building at 5:15PM. The Online Group will join remotely at 5:30PM. FREE "Walk With Ease" Program Mondays & Thursdays July 22nd - Sept 19th from 10:00AM - 11:00AM
Join us for our second iteration of OSU Extension Services' "Walk With Ease" Program! Focus on strength and confidence and increase fitness level and mobility. This is a FREE 9 week walking program for all ages. We meet twice a week, Mondays and Thursdays from 10AM - 11AM. We start in the new Wellness Building and, after a short lecture, head outside. We will meet inside the Elkton High School Gym on days that are too hot or too smoky. Participants should be able to walk for at least 10 minutes. FREE Older Adult Legacy Cafe 4th Thursday of every month, beginning July 25th from 2:00PM - 3:00PM

Open to the entire community of North Douglas County! Older adult community members have the opportunity to explore and engage in meaningful peer-to-peer conversation discussing topics related to aging, growth, health, wellness and older adulthood with friends, neighbors, and other community members. Co-sponsored by the Association of Oregon Community Mental Health Programs and in partnership with the Older Adult Behavioral Health Initiative. Discussion will be prompted by questions such as "..." and "...". We meet every 4th Thursday of the month from 2:00PM - 3:00PM in the new Wellness Building. Snacks and beverages will be served. No registration, reservations or sign-up necessary.
