Blooms & Butterflies Festival

20Jun2026It is time to celebrate the return of blooms and butterflies to North Douglas County at our annual fun and family-friendly Blooms & Butterflies Festival!

Festivities start at 9 AM with a scenic 1/4 mi Dragonfly Loop through our Native Plant Park or 5K Butterfly Run/Walk along the Umpqua River.

Enjoy free family-friendly activities, craft vendors, information booths and food throughout the day. Take a tour of historic Fort Umpqua and learn about the life cycle of native butterflies in our Butterfly Pavilion. Find garden-themed presents in our Gift Shop and plants for your own backyard habitat in our Native Plant Nursery.

19th Annual Butterfly 5K Race
& 1/4 mi Dragonfly Loop

Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 20th! 1st, 2nd and 3rd in several age categories. Wear your best pair of butterfly wings and stay for the Costume Contest & Awards Ceremony and the rest of the Blooms & Butterflies Festival!

Register for the race by May 31st to guarantee your t-shirt. (Registrations after this date are not guaranteed a t-shirt.)

Runners can check-in early at our Main Office the week of the race. Pick up your race bib, t-shirt and swag bag Tuesday thru Friday from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM or Friday evening from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Same-day registration and check-in will start at 8:00 AM on Saturday.

9:15 AM – 10:45 AM: Butterfly 5K Run/Walk

10:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Vendor Booths

11:00 AM – 2:00 PM: BBQ Lunch

11:15 AM – 11:45 AM: Costume Contest & Awards Ceremony

The festival closes at 4:00 PM.
